Felipe Oliveira

Felipe brings a wealth of capital markets and commercial leadership experience in global, high-growth firms. He held a senior role at Amber Capital Management, a global multi-billion-dollar Risk Arbitrage Hedge Fund, leading investment initiatives across the capital markets spectrum. Recently, Felipe worked at Costa Coffee and LRS Suntory, the fourth largest beverage business in the world, in commercial planning and strategy roles. Early in his career, he worked at Bloomberg Tradebook and went on to build a broker-dealer business in New York for Brazil’s largest independent broker-dealer, Agora Senior Securities Corp, acquired since by Banco Bradesco.

Ben is a trading systems and connectivity specialist with over 20 years’ experience in leadership, front office and technical roles located in both the UK and Australia. Prior to joining Genesis, Ben led the UK Trading business at IRESS after the acquisition of Proquote from the London Stock Exchange in 2015. Always with a passion for technology, he has held previous roles across product management, sales and trading. Ben holds a BComm in Computing and Information Management from the Western Sydney University.

Katya Chupryna

Katya Chupryna leads market infrastructure investing for SPRINT team (Spread Products Investment Technologies) , the strategic investment arm for Citi’s Global Spread Products business. SPRINT invests in and incubates early and growth stage fintech companies that provide strategic relevance and next-generation solutions to Citi’s credit business and often broader capital markets. Prior to this, Katya was Chief Strategy Officer at Thinknum, an alternative data fintech company. Katya was also part of a group that launched one of the first quantitative high-frequency-trading hedge funds in Fixed Income after starting her career as an FX trader at Wachovia. Katya is a graduate of Princeton University.

He has over 10 years’ experience in the financial services and information technology sector.

Prior to joining genesis, James spent 11 years at Bloomberg with his most recent role there being Sales Director where he managed a team of SDRs in the enterprise sales division across multiple emerging markets territories. James was responsible for managing and growing revenue of terminals, risk systems, OMS, enterprise data and regulatory solutions.

James joins genesis as Head of New Business Development with responsibility for new client engagements within EMEA, presenting genesis’ Low Code Application capabilities to new and existing clients in order to continuously help them to innovate, adapt and transform their business models.

Tom Hulme

Tom is a general partner at GV and leads GV’s London office. Prior to GV, Tom was a design director at IDEO Europe where he ran startup efforts globally and founded OpenIDEO, an open innovation platform where 200,000 users from more than 170 countries solve challenges for social good.

Prior to IDEO, Tom was managing director of Marcos, a British sports car manufacturer and founded Magnom, a magnetic filter startup. Tom’s filter designs have been widely used in Formula One, superbikes, agricultural equipment, and central heating systems.

After exiting his own startups Tom has angel-invested in more than 20 companies, including as the founding investor in Mile IQ (sold to Microsoft), Divimove (exited to Freemantle), GoCardless, Cliqz (exited to Burda), Llustre (exited to Fab), Massive Health (exited to Jawbone), Nested, Tray.io and MoveGuides. Tom has been recognized as a ‘Young Global Leader’ by the World Economic Forum, and has been featured in WIRED UK’s Top 100 Digital Power Brokers. Charlene Hunter

Charlene has been a software developer for over 10 years in a range of languages and technologies. She is the founder and CEO of Coding Black Females, a non profit organisation to inspire, provide opportunities, and showcase the talents of black women in tech. She is also the co-founder of Meet Up and Code, a community to bring developers together and code together. Charlene is passionate about increasing diversity in tech.

Alex Kayyal

Alex joined Salesforce in 2015. Currently a SVP on the Corporate Development team, Alex runs Salesforce Ventures International across EMEA, APAC and LATAM as a partner.

He has led investments in many leading software companies, including NewVoiceMedia (sold to Vonage), RedKix (sold to Facebook), SessionM (sold to Mastercard), Algolia, Bringg, Contentful, Darwinbox, Genesis Global, GoCardless, Gong, Hopin, NS1, Onfido, PerimeterX, Privitar, Salto, Snyk, Unbabel, WeFox, WhiteHat and Zoomin. Pieternel graduated top of her class from Bath University with a MSc in Innovation & Technology Management and holds a BSc Systems Engineering from the Delft University of Technology.

Prior to joining genesis, Pieternel worked in investment banking as a Mergers & Acquisitions analyst at Rothschild & Co. She brings to the table her entrepreneurial mindset, affinity for technology innovation and finance experience. Pieternel is born in the Netherlands and was raised in a global expat family.

Pieternal joins genesis as a Sales Manager based out of our London office with responsibility for growing the company’s revenue by bringing new business into the firm, managing and upselling current accounts, renewing contracts and offering world class customer service to our clients and prospects.

Brad Levy

Brad Levy is the President and Chief Commercial Officer at Symphony Communication Services. Prior to Symphony, Levy was a partner at global analytics and information provider, IHS Markit, having also served as CEO of MarkitSERV, Markit’s OTC trade processing subsidiary, and global head of its loan settlement and software services division. In the CEO role, he oversaw the launch of the TradeServ cloud-based platform.

Earlier in his career, he spent 18 years at Goldman Sachs, culminating in his role as managing director and global head of Goldman’s Principal Strategic Investments Group. Levy currently serves as Chairman Emeritus of FINOS, the Fintech Open Source Foundation, as well as a member of the Technology Advisory Committee of the CFTC, the U.S. Commodities and Futures Trading Commission, and chairman of its Distributed Ledger Subcommittee.

Tracy Miranda

Tracy Miranda is the Executive Director of the Continuous Delivery Foundation (CDF) where she leads the mission to improve the world’s capacity to deliver software with security and speed.  The CDF, a nonprofit organization that is part of the Linux Foundation, includes Netflix, Google and CapitalOne as its members. Prior to CDF, Tracy was the Director of Open Source at CloudBees. Tracy is a veteran of the open-source technology industry with 20+ years of experience with large scale projects, used by millions of developers worldwide, such as Jenkins and Eclipse. Tracy’s background also includes developer tools, embedded software and electronics system design. Tracy has two patents for her work on processor architectures.

Jose Pozo

Jose graduated with a MSc in Computation Software Techniques in Engineering from the University of Cranfield, and a MSc in Computer Engineering from University of Lleida in Spain as well as 1st class honours degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the same university.

Jose is a first-class computer scientist, with over 5 years’ experience developing high performance, highly scalable solutions and is the chief architect at genesis.

Prior to joining genesis, Jose worked for Misys in London focussed on GPU software development.

Jose currently leads the core development team and has overall responsibility for all Core development within genesis.

Wholesale Loan Markets Digital Lead - ING

Matthew Rhys-Evans

Matthew is the ING Wholesale Loan Markets Lead based in London focused on lending digitisation. Developer of commercially viable loan market applications, products, platforms that are accelerating ING’s digital business objectives. Recent projects include a credit insurance application based on Genesis’ LCAP and Loan Optics, a platform for the syndicated loan market.  

Prior to moving into a business tech role, Matt had a 15 year career in the EMEA syndicated loan market, coordinating large acquisition and corporate debt financings for top international clients. He is a regular speaker on loan market topics and digitisation.

Jay Taylerson

Jay graduated with a 1st class honours degree in Computer Science from the University of Canterbury. Jay is a truly first-class finance technology professional, with 10 years experience developing solutions for tier 1 banks whilst working at Fidessa in London, New York and Hong Kong onsite at Lehman Brothers & Credit Suisse. Jay currently leads all technical design, development & implementation for genesis enterprise clients spreading his time onsite working directly with the clients and the internal development teams.
